Ingrid Currington is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician specialising in the care of individuals with eating disorders, disordered eating, pelvic pain and gastrointestinal conditions.
She is committed to providing high quality, evidence-based nutrition care and practices from a holistic, weight-inclusive, and trauma-informed perspective.
Ingrid has 20 years’ experience as a dietitian working across a range of settings, including hospitals, community health centres, and outpatient eating disorder treatment services. She has extensive experience supporting individuals across the full spectrum of eating disorder diagnoses including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). In addition to her expertise in eating disorders, Ingrid has a dual specialisation in supporting people with pelvic pain and Disorders of Gut-Brain Interaction (such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome). She has worked for the past eight years as the lead dietitian in the Persistent Pelvic Pain clinics at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne, Victoria.
Ingrid is committed to helping clients build a more flexible, peaceful relationship with food and their bodies using a non-diet, Health at Every Size (HAES)-informed approach. She aims to create a warm and therapeutic space for her clients, which allows for collaboration, curiosity, and healing.
